Privacy Policy

Effective October 2, 2026

The short version

  • Your budget stays on your phone. Your entries, recurring items, goals, categories and settings are stored only on your device. We don't receive them and can't see them.
  • No ads, no tracking, no analytics. We never sell or share your data.
  • We only receive something when you choose to send it: feedback you write and, if you leave it switched on, basic device info.
  • Purchases go through Google Play. We never see your card or payment details.

1. Who we are

L3dgr is a personal budgeting app made by an independent developer ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information the app handles and what happens to it. If you have a question, contact us at hello@l3dgr.app.

2. Information that stays on your device

Everything you put into L3dgr is stored in the app's private storage on your phone:

  • your expenses, savings and purchases, with their amounts, dates, notes and categories
  • recurring items, sections, goals, categories and groups
  • your profile name, settings, layout, colour theme and background

This information is not sent to us or to anyone else. It is removed when you use Erase all data in the app or uninstall it. If Android's own device backup is switched on, Android may include app data in your Google account backup. That is handled by Google under its own privacy policy, and you can turn it off in your phone's settings.

3. Backups you export

You can export a backup file from Your data. The file is created on your device and goes only where you choose to save or share it. We don't receive it. Backup files are not encrypted, so keep them somewhere safe.

4. Feedback you send

When you send a bug report, idea or question from Help & feedback, we receive:

  • the message you write and its ticket number
  • if Include device info is on: the app version, platform (for example Android), screen size, browser engine version, theme, plan and whether you're signed in

Feedback never includes your entries or other budget data. We use it only to answer you and improve the app, and keep it only as long as that takes. You can ask us to delete it at any time.

5. Purchases

Plus and Pro are bought through Google Play, which handles payment under the Google Privacy Policy. We never see your card or payment details. Google tells the app which plan you have (a purchase confirmation and its status) so it can unlock your features; your plan is then remembered on your device.

6. Sign-in and sync

Signing in and syncing across devices are not available yet. If we add them, they will be optional, and we will update this policy to explain what is stored and where before they are switched on.

7. What we don't do

  • We don't show ads or include advertising, analytics or tracking tools.
  • We don't sell, rent or share your information.
  • We don't access your location, contacts, photos, camera or microphone.
  • The app's fonts and pictures are built in, so opening it doesn't contact other websites.

The app asks for internet access (for purchases and sending feedback) and vibration (for haptic feedback).

8. Children

L3dgr is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.

9. Your choices and rights

Your budget data is in your hands: you can view, export or erase it in the app at any time. For feedback you've sent, you can ask us for a copy or ask us to delete it. Depending on where you live (for example under Canada's PIPEDA, the EU and UK GDPR, or California's CCPA), you may have further rights over your personal information; contact us and we'll help.

10. Security

Data in the app is protected by Android's app sandbox, which stops other apps from reading it. Anyone who can unlock your phone can open the app, so use a screen lock.

11. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. For significant changes we'll also let you know in the app.

12. Contact

Questions or requests: hello@l3dgr.app.
